Seniors talk about their final year

As seniors walk through the halls for their final year, they are preparing for the fun, stress and memories they are bound to experience their last year.

As one could imagine, preparing for life after high school can get very overwhelming. Especially when these seniors are adding on extra-curricular activities and homework.

Senior Joslyn Dinkel relates.

“Even though it will be challenging, I predict it will be fun,” Dinkel said. “I’m expecting a good time with my friends, getting ready for college and having a good time in my last high school year.”

Dinkel isn’t the only one in the senior class expecting to have a good last year.

“My year is going to go somewhat smoothly,” senior Kodi Custine said. “I filled all of my electives with things I wanted to do and got everything needed for college out of the way my junior year.”

Senior Savannah Unsworth, plans on the year to go similarly.

“I think it will be a lot of fun because it is our last chance to do stuff,” Unsworth said. “It can get pretty overwhelming preparing for college though.”

Even though most seniors are planning on a good year, some other seniors aren’t as enthusiastic.

“I find it difficult doing school work and preparing for college,” senior Ethan Shippy said.

Senior Katie Fross is in a similar position.

“It kind of sucks,” Fross said. “I don’t know where I want to go, or what I want to do.”

Other seniors can see where Fross is coming from, but they are staying positive.

“It can get to be a bit stressful at times,” senior Caitlyn Fisher said. “But it will all be worth it in the end.”
