Life Management class teaches different skills
Life Management instructor, Cathy Kuhn, taught her class how to sew this week.
The Life Management class teaches students different life skills and features class speakers.
“Sewing is a good thing to know how to do,” Kuhn said. “You never know what can happen in the spur of the moment.
Students in her class enjoyed the lesson, laughing as they made mistakes and watching when Kuhn was talking and demonstrating.
“It’s useful information and she’s a really good teacher,” sophomore Jesse Weilert said.
Sewing isn’t usually on the list of a student’s hobbies or things to learn, but some students, like freshman Chase Brous, are glad to have learned how.
“It’s something I’ve been needing to know how to do for a while now,” Brous said.
The end products were turned in for a grade by the students, and they were mostly proud of how they turned out.
“Most kids feel a sense of accomplishment when they’re done, it shows on their face,” Kuhn said.
Madison Schmidt is a sophomore and is in her first year of being on the Guidon. She likes sleeping, reading, playing video games and writing.
