Two new secretaries have been added to the staff since the beginning of this semester.

“I started on Jan. 28,” secretary Teresa Baker said. “I am so new.”

The other secretary, Katie Clancy, began working here very recently.

“Monday was my first day,” Clancy said. “They were hiring for a new receptionist.”

Clancy said this is her first time working as a secretary.

“This is my first time and so far I love it,” Clancy said.

Baker has previously worked as a secretary.

“I’ve worked as a receptionist before,” Baker said. “This is my third time. I love it here. Everybody here is great to work with. The people are wonderful.”

Clancy agrees her coworkers make the experience better.

“Probably the staff I work with is my favorite part,” Clancy said.

At previous jobs, Clancy had fewer opportunities to interact with young people.

“Working with students and meeting new people is something I didn’t get to do at my old jobs,” Clancy said.

Baker said Hays High is a good environment to work in.

“It’s a really fun place to work,” Baker said. “It’s very comfortable.”
