Fall blood drive to take place Nov. 10

StuCo, paired with the American Red Cross, throws a blood drive every semester. This year’s fall blood drive is happening on Tuesday, Nov. 10 (maroon day) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Gym B.

“If students would like to donate, they can sign up at a table set up outside of the cafeteria or online on the website,” StuCo President senior Emily Prine said. “For volunteering, contact Morgan Klaus to check on available slots.”

There are certain requirements for donating blood.

“If you are 16 years old, you need to have the form that is available in the office and on the website,” Prine said. “Also, the minimum weight for donors is 110 pounds.”

Prine believes it’s important for students to get involved in this event.

“Donating blood is a very important thing. Not only can you save three lives, but it is constantly in demand,” Prine said. “If you cannot donate your blood, then I think it is important to donate your time.”
