College career planning conference held at Hays High
A College Career Planning Conference took place at Hays High on Oct. 20.
Juniors and seniors attended the Conference to learn more about the different colleges they can attend.
Senior Rachel Pendergast went to the conference for the second time this year.
“I liked it, but I have already visited many schools so I already knew a lot of the information,” Pendergast said. “But I did also visit with other colleges that I haven’t looked at and learned a lot of good things, and there may be more colleges I want to apply to.”
Juniors Hannah Norris and Sierra Eichman enjoyed the conference and found it interesting to go around finding information about different schools.
“I found out a lot about different schools I haven’t considered going to yet,” Eichman said.
For some students, the conference was just a way to get out of class because they already know what school they want to go to.
“I didn’t do much at the conference because I already have a school picked out,” junior Keagan Chapman said.
Junior Ashlyn Lemmon found the conference to be helpful.
“The conference narrowed down a lot of colleges for me,” Lemmons said.
