Girls golf takes third at Bob Blazer Invitational on Aug. 31
Senior Taylor DeBoer took first place after winning a one hole playoff against junior teammate Katie Brungardt at the Bob Blazer Invitational golf tournament on Aug. 31 at the smoky hill country club.
Both DeBoer and Brungardt carded a nine-hole total of 39 to secure the top spots. Their performances helped lead the team to a third-place team score of 219. First went to Thomas More Prep-Marian with a 195, followed by Garden City with a 213. Other team scores were Salina Central, 220; Liberal, 228; Dodge City, 231; and Great Bend, 251.
The golf team will travel to Salina to play in the Salina Central Invitational on Sept. 8.
