Spring break brings excitement

Spring break is an exciting time for students for many reasons.

For students spring break means no school, vacation, and getting closer to summer.

Some students stay home for spring break, but many students go out of town.

Junior Madison Prough is going to Cabo, Mexico for spring break.

“I’m excited to be able to be in warm weather, and spend time with my family,” Prough said. “I’m glad that spring break is finally here, and I hope the rest of the year goes by fast.”

Senior Kristyn Hodny is also going to spend her spring break in Cabo, and she is excited for it.

“I’m ready to spend it with my friends, and I’m excited to spend the week laying on the beach,” Hodny said. “I’m also glad school is almost done with.”

Freshman Dawson Rooney is going to spend his spring break in Colorado skiing.

Junior Brooke Fornash and senior Britney Werth are going to stay home for spring break.

“I’m going to stay here and work,” Fornash said. “I’m just glad there’s no school. I can feel summer getting closer.”

Freshman Haley Spears is going on a mission trip to Baxter Springs, Missouri with her youth group for spring break.

“I’m really excited for the mission trip, but I’m also nervous because it’s my first time going on a mission trip,” Spears said. “But I think it’ll be fun, and a good way to spend my spring break.”

Senior Bailee Lieker is going to San Diego for spring break.

“I’m going to Mission beach, La Joya Cove, and hopefully I’ll also go to the San Diego Zoo,” Leiker said. “I’m excited for the warm weather.”

Junior Bradyn Meredith is going to stay in town for spring break.

“I’m excited to not have to go to school,” Meredith said. “I’m not doing much but the break will be nice.”
