Representatives from Jostens and Balfour visit to sell class rings

Representatives from Jostens and Balfour came to Hays High to give out information on class rings on Oct. 15.

The companies offers hundreds of different styles of class rings, and this year Jostens is introducing their new Shadowcast rings which are made of a darker metal than most other options.

Interested students were given packets with booklets and order forms. Students can choose from a wide variety of metals and engravings and are able to customize their own class ring.

According to jostens.com, prices range from under $100 to $800 or more and vary based on the selected style.

Jostens offers payment plan options for those who cannot automatically afford their class rings. Representatives help arrange payment plans and help students make decisions based on their budget.

The company also offers a lifetime limited warranty that includes free resizing, cleaning, refinishing,  one-time Design-A-Side remake for underclassmen, replacement of broken/chipped simulated stones and free grad year or school transfer changes.

In addition to this, Jostens also has a ring protection plan which, according to jostens.com, is where if your ring is ever lost or stolen, the protection plan covers your ring from loss or theft for a total of four years. For less than $4 a year, the ring protection program can also be extended to 10 years.

Balfour is offering up to three free items with the purchase of their grad pac which costs $83.85. Choices include a 2015 fleece blanket, leather wrap bracelet, 2015 cord bracelet, QR code stickers or a 2015 senior backpack.
