Forensics competes at Great Bend
Forensics traveled to Great Bend on Saturday, with two competitors medaling, one of which fell just short of qualifying for state.
Junior Ben Rajewski took fifth in extemporaneous speaking and senior Megan Zeman took third in poetry, forensics sponsor Zach Butte said. Senior Rachel Muirhead already qualified for state in prose with her interpretation of “Junie B. Jones and the Stupid, Smelly Bus” at the Norton tournament on Feb. 8.
“Personally, I feel that the season has gotten off to a slow start,” Butte said. “But it will quickly gain speed once we get everybody freed up from the end of the winter sports season as well as students involved in other stuff like Spring Play and music competitions.”
