On Oct. 26, the Hays High School volleyball team went to sub-state, which was held in Goddard.
At sub-state, the lady Indians played against only one team, Valley Center, which they lost the set to. This loss ended the Indians’ season with a final record of 27-9.
” We played Valley Center, and they are a very, very strong team,” coach Shannon Funk said. “And, yeah, it was a hard loss for us. It ended our season, and it was disappointing, but I thought we had a lot of good moments in the game, but it just didn’t go our way.”
