Lady Indians softball take their wins to regionals
The Hays High lady Indian softball team traveled to Andover on Tuesday, May 9 to play in a triangular with Andover Central and Salina South.
Prior to Tuesday’s games, the lady Indians had a nine-game winning streak. That streak, however, was broken against Andover Central, with the score being 3-1 in favor of Andover Central. Hays High also dropped the game to Salina South, with that score being 11-9.
The lady Indians were also at home on May 12, in another triangular against Newton and Manhattan. The seniors were also recognized before the Hays vs. Newton game for Senior Night.
The lady Indians won both games on May 12. The first game against Manhattan being 1-0 and the second game against Newton being 4-2.
The lady Indians will travel to Goddard on Wednesday, May 17, to play against Great Bend for the first round of regionals.
