Lady Indian softball adds onto early-season wins
For the week of April 3-7, the lady Indian softball team competed in games again the Dodge City lady Demons.
On Monday, April 3, the Indians traveled to Dodge City to play a single game, with the varsity team defeating the Demons, 13-0, and the junior varsity team defeating Dodge City, 22-14.
That Thursday, April 6, Dodge City traveled to Hays for a double-header. Hays High’s varsity team won again, 15-0 in the first game and 16-0 in the second game, and the lady Indian JV won both games, 18-2 and 18-6.
The girls also competed the week of April 10-14.
On Monday, April 10, the Garden City Buffaloes traveled to Hays to play in a double-header against the Indians. The varsity Indians dropped the first game against the Buffs, 8-2, but bounced back in the second game to defeat Garden City, 5-1. The JV Indians were perfect on the day against the Buffs, with Game 1’s score being 17-2 and Game 2’s score being 17-11.
Next week, the week of April 17-21, the lady Indians will travel to Great Bend to play a single game on Tuesday, April 18, and then the lady Panthers will travel to Hays to play a double-header on Thursday, April 20.
