Girls soccer competes against Salina South Cougars
On Friday, March 31, the girls soccer team won by a score of 3-0 against the Salina South Cougars, bringing their overall record to 3-1.
Sophomore Danielle Willeford scored two of the three goals, and freshman Kinsely Knewll scored one.
Then, on Monday, April 3, after a hard-fought game, the lady Indians lost, 2-1, to Dodge City in overtime.
Senior Katie Dinkel scored the goal with a penalty kick in the first half.
“I think the girls fought really hard, and we’ll use this loss as fuel to win our next game,” junior Arely Maldonado said.
The girls will travel to Liberal on Friday, April 6 to take on the Redskins.
