Cross country competes at Salina Central
On Saturday, Oct. 8, cross country competed at Salina Central, where the girls finished second overall with a total of 37 points and the boys finished fourth overall with a total of 115 points.
The first to cross the finish line for girls was junior Arely Maldonado. She placed fourth overall with a time of 20:14:00. Behind her, junior Brenlynn Albers finished seventh with a time of 20:49:00.
Junior Elijah McCullough was the first to finish for boys cross country. He placed fifth overall with a time of 16:54:00. Following him was sophomore Taevian Maupin. He placed 13th overall with a time of 17:39:00. They both were medalists.
“Everyone did awesome at this meet,” Albers said. “A lot of people set new personal records for themselves.”
