Girls swim hosts, competes in home meet
The girls swimming team competed in Hays at the Center for Health Improvement on Monday, April 25.
Hays placed second with 436 points overall.
50 Freestyle – freshman Izabel Schmidt (25.33) placed first, senior Elizabeth Clingan (30.19) placed ninth and senior Lauryn Miller (31.00) placed 10th
100 Backstroke – Clingan (1:14.25) placed second, Miller (1:25.48) placed fourth and sophomore Kim Del Real (1:50.94) placed ninth
100 Breaststroke – Schwarz (1:32.71) placed fourth, senior Gracie Wente (1:34.64) placed fifth and freshman Savannah Schmitz (1:48.13) placed 11th
100 Butterfly – senior Jada Thomas (1:34.91) placed fourth, sophomore Kae Dees (1:44.19) placed sixth and junior Kiki Gonzales (1:52.59) placed eighth
100 Freestyle – Schmidt (56.28) placed first, Schwarz (1:10.33) placed third, senior Jamie Haddaway (1:15.52) placed eighth and sophomore Grecia Enriquez (1:20.04) placed 10th
200 Freestyle – junior Mackenzie Hagerman (2:40.44) placed fourth, and Enriquez (2:52.92) placed 10th
200 Freestyle Relay – Clingan, Schwarz, Miller and Schmidt (1:57.12) placed second; Hagerman, Del Real, Enriquez and Haddaway (2:18.03) placed seventh
