The girls swimming team competed in Garden City on Tuesday, April 12.
Hays placed fifth with 309 points overall.
50 Freestyle – freshman Izabel Schmidt (25.77) placed first, senior Elizabeth Clingan (31.20) placed eighth and senior Lauryn Miller (34.09) placed 12th
100 Backstroke – Schmidt (1:09.20) placed first, Clingan (1:20.75) placed eighth and freshman Kiera Dealy (1:39.77) placed 13th
100 Breaststroke – junior Rilee Schwarz (1:37.24) placed eighth, and Miller (1:49.23) placed 12th
100 Butterfly – senior Jada Thomas (1:34.88) placed fifth, and sophomore Kae Dees (1:47.05) placed 11th
100 Freestyle – Schwarz (1:15.54) placed 10th, and sophomore Kim Del Real (1:28.27) placed 14th
