Indians demolish Liberal following doubleheader
On Friday, April 1, the Indian baseball team defeated the Liberal Redskins by 10 points in both games of a double-header. The first game resulted in a score of 12-2, and the second game resulted in a score of 10-0.
Senior Dylan Dreiling hit multiple home runs in both games. He was four for five with a singular walk and no outs in the first game. In the second game, he hit three times, two of them ending in home runs.
Senior Garrett Wellbrock also hit two of four with a triple and an RBI.
In the second game, junior Brayden Dreher had two hits and would drive in two runs.
Pitcher Junior Blake Schmidt (1-0) pitched six shutout innings, only allowing four hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
The Indians will take on the Garden City Buffaloes at home on Friday, April 8.
