Lady Indians capture win over Colby Eagles

On Feb. 11, the lady Indians hosted the Colby Eagles and won 33-27. The Indians never trailed throughout the game.

The game started out slow for both teams, with the score at the end of the first quarter being 6-2 in favor of the Indians.

Going into the halftime, the score was 16-7 with the Indians leading; the first half ended with not many points being scored for either team.

The second half started with the Indians being able to build their lead, limiting the Eagles to only five third quarter points. The Eagles only were able to get within six points of tying the game when the final buzzer went off. The final score was 33-27.

Freshman Molly Martin led her team with 10 points, and senior Aleyia Ruder had 11 rebounds.

The lady Indians are now 10-6 on the season and will host Abilene on Feb. 15.
