On Aug. 30, the Hays High girls golf team hosted the Hays High Invitational at Smoky Hill Country Club. They played a “shortened” course, where par was 69.

Senior Taleia McCrae shot a 78 for third, junior Katie Dinkel placed fifth with a 79, sophomore Abbie Norris took seventh with an 85 and junior Claire Humphrey shot an 86 for eighth.

The team took first out of nine teams with a total score of 328. The next tournament is on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at Dodge City.
