On March 2, the lady Indians traveled to Salina to take on the Salina Central Mustangs for the first round of the substate tournament. The Indians lost 52-29, which ends their season.

The first quarter started closely, with the score being 2-1 in favor of the Mustangs, but then a late first quarter 8-0 run by the Mustangs and another two points from the Indians would make the score 10-3 going into the second quarter.

The second quarter brought the score to 25-14, with the Indians being able to make up points with free throw opportunities.

The third quarter 27-17 score gap was the closest the game would ever get before the Mustangs were able to take advantage of scoring opportunities.

The fourth quarter was dominated by the Mustangs, with the Indians being outscored 25-12 within the final 14 minutes.

The Indians finish the season 6-15, with 12 of those games against ranked opponents.
