Lady Indians fall to Great Bend on Senior Night

On Feb. 26, the lady Indians hosted their rivals, the Great Bend Panthers, for the last home game of the season and lost 46-40.

The first quarter was in favor of the Panthers, with the score being 9-2 at the end of the quarter.

The game was tied at nine, and the Indians took the lead for just a few possessions before the Panthers were able to build their lead 21-20 going into halftime.

The third quarter was a tough matchup between both teams, with the score being tied once again, but this time at 28.

A scoreless first three minutes of the fourth quarter for both teams set it up so that the Indians could take the lead, but the Panthers were able take the lead away from the Indians, and the Indians never got it back, eventually falling 46-40.

They are now 6-14 on the year and 1-7 in the Western Athletic Conference.

The lady Indians will play Salina Central in the first round of the sub-state tournament on March 2 in Salina.
