Athletes from various sports named to All-WAC teams
With the fall sports season ending, the All-League teams were announced for the Western Athletic Conference. The results are as listed below.
Volleyball –
Senior Brooklyn Schaffer – All-WAC Second Team (put the rest in this format/capitalization)
Football –
Junior Jordan Dale QB – All-WAC First Team Offense
Junior Dylan Dreiling RB – All-WAC First Team Offense
Junior Jaren Kanak WR/RB – All-WAC First Team Offense
Junior Gavin Nutting OL – All-WAC First Team Offense
Senior Trey Adams DL – All-WAC First Team Defense
Senior Gaven Haselhorst DL – All-WAC First Team Defense
Senior Tucker Veach DB – All-WAC First Team Defense
Junior Gavin Meyers LB – All-WAC First Team Defense
Dale was named WAC Offensive Player of the Year, Haselhorst was named Defensive Player of the year and coach Tony Crough was named WAC Coach of the Year.
Soccer-
Senior Cesar Macias- All-WAC First Team
Sophomore Diego Muller- All-WAC First Team
Freshman Brantlee Stabb – All-WAC Second Team
Girls Golf-
Senior Sophia Garrison (63) – All-WAC First Team
Senior Sierra Smith (23.5) – All-WAC Second Team
Junior Taleia McCrae (73)- All-WAC First Team
Sophomore Katie Dinkel (52.5) – All-WAC First Team
Freshman Abbie Norris (34.5) – All-WAC Second Team
McCrae was named WAC Player of the Year, and coach Mark Watts was named WAC Coach of the Year.
“Making All-WAC First Team and Player of the Year was an amazing accomplishment for me as an individual this year,” McCrae said. “Putting in the work and seeing the outcome of what you put in through the off season is an amazing feeling. I I’m proud of the way the season went as an individual and the team.”
