Cross country competes at Western Athletic Conference

The WAC meet was in Liberal. The boys ran 5,000-meter race, and the girls ran a 4,000-meter race.

Cross country competed at the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) meet at Liberal on Oct. 15. There were four races in total. The boys ran 5,000-meter race, and the girls ran a 4,000-meter race.

Hays High’s boys varsity placed fifth overall with 117 points, and the boys junior varsity placed fifth with 103 points. Girls varsity placed third overall with 64 points, and girls junior varsity placed first with 15 points. Their next meet will be regionals on Oct. 24.
