Sophomore Jordan Dale looks for an open teammate to pass to during the home game on Feb. 21.

On March 6, the Indians traveled to Great Bend to take on the Panthers for the second round of the substate tournament and won 43-36.

This was the third time the teams have faced each other this season, and the games have been back and forth each time.

The lead traded hands throughout the first quarter, but an 18-0 run for the Indians that lasted throughout the second and third quarters gave the Indians the lead for the rest of the game.

Heading into the fourth quarter, the Indians were leading 32-19, and sophomore Carson Kieffer led his team with 13 points.

The Indians are now 16-6 on the season and will play Topeka Highland Park at 8:15 p.m. on March 11 at Emporia State University’s White Auditorium in the first round of the 5A State Tournament.
