Girls’ tennis competes at home meet
The girls’ junior varsity tennis team hosted a tournament on Sept. 19 with games being played at both the Hays High tennis courts and the Hays City tennis courts.
Hays had two teams participate, team Maroon and team Gold. Hays Maroon led overall, winning first place while Hays Gold took third. The results are as followed:
In #1 singles on Hays Maroon, junior Alexis White won first with a score of 3-0.
In #2 singles on Hays Maroon, junior Maggie Robben won first with a score of 3-0.
In #1 doubles on Hays Maroon, senior Moriah DeBay and freshman Caroline Robben placed second with a score of 2-1.
In #2 doubles on Hays Maroon, juniors Allison Brooks and Emmy Morley placed second with a score of 2-1.
In #1 singles on Hays Gold, freshman Katrina Delimont earned second with a score of 2-1.
In #2 singles on Hays Gold, freshman Emily White earned second with a score of 2-1.
