Lady Indians fall, 52-40, at last regular season game against Abilene Cowboys on Feb. 22

The Lady Indians suffered a 52-40 loss against the Abilene Cowboys at the last regular season game on Feb. 22.

In the first quarter, the Indians took an early lead to make the score 11-10. By half time, the Cowboys would increase to a five-point lead.

The Cowboys would continue their lead into the second half with the score being 39-30 going into the third quarter.

Senior Jaycee Dale led the scoring with 14 points, and junior Brooke Denning followed close being with 10. Juniors Tasiah Nunnery and Isabel Robben threw in seven and three points, respectively.

Also adding to the scoring was senior Kallie Leiker and freshman Taleia McCrae with two points each. Rounding out the scoring was senior Savannah Scheider and freshman Aleyia Ruder both scoring one point.

The team is now 13-7 and will play an undecided team at Sub-State on Feb. 27 at home.
