Boys basketball comes up big against Liberal Redskins in 68-56 victory

Senior Trey McCrae beats Great Bend defender off the dribble, taking him to the basket.

The boys basketball team spent the last Friday of the winter break traveling to Liberal, and came out on top with a 68-56 victory.

The Indians put up 8 points in the first quarter trailing by 5 to the Redskins.

The second quarter was a big turnaround for the Indians compared to the first, putting up 23 points over Liberals 11, putting the Indians 31-24.

The Indians stayed steady throughout the second half putting up 16 points in the third quarter and 21 points in the fourth.

Senior Trey McCrae finished off the game with 22 points followed by senior Braiden Meyers with 13 points.

The Indians push on to their next WAC game in Great Bend facing of against the Panthers on Jan. 8.
