The girls basketball team held off a fourth quarter rally to secure a 47-44 victory at Colby on Dec. 11.

After falling behind, 12-9, in the first quarter, the Indians outscored the Eagles, 27-17 over the next two periods to take a seven-point, 36-29 advantage into the final period. The Eagles rallied in the final quarter and outscored the Indians by a 15-11 margin, but their comeback fell three points short.

Leading the way for the Indians was senior Savannah Schneider with 17 points and junior Tasiah Nunnery with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Jaycee Dale added seven, while senior Mattie Hutchinson scored five. Rounding out the scoring were junior Brooke Denning, junior Isabel Robben and senior Kallie Leiker with three, two and one point, respectively.

With the win, the Indians improve to 2-2 on the year.
