Indians soccer top cross-town rivals in, 3-1 victory

2018 boys soccer team circles up before game as their pre-match ritual.

The Indians took on the TMP Monarchs in a cross town rivalry, with the Indians coming out on top with a 3-1, victory.

The Indians kicked off their senior night with all 11 seniors starting on the field. Five minute into the first half the Indians Coach Silas Hibbs put in his starting lineup.

The Indians then went on a three goal tear, with all three goals coming from senior Trey McCrae completing his hat trick, two assists from senior goalie Connor Teget and one assist from senior Peyton Thorell.

“I don’t think I’ve had one that fast,” McCrae said. “I’ve had a couple hat tricks before, but it was probably the greatest game of my career, just playing my last game at home on senior day, and getting a hat track in front of our fans, our classmates, friends and family. It’s great to be here.”

Going into the second half 3-0 the Indians showed confidence, but the Monarchs hadn’t given up hope. Netting their first goal of the game halfway through the second  half.

The game ended with a score of 3-1, and the Indians winning over the Monarchs on senior night.
