Lady Indian softball splits at home vs Andover Central
The Indian softball team split with Andover Central at home. For the first game the Indians lost 13-4 and won the second game 12-9.
In the first game the Lady Indians scored one in the first and fifth innings and two in the seventh, while the Jaguars scored three in second, two in the third, three in the fourth and five in the seventh.
The Indians had a total of nine hits and two errors, while the Jaguars had 16 hits and three errors.
Kaitlyn Brown was pitching for the first game and had two strikeouts, one walk and 12 errors.
In the second game the Indians took control with scoring two in the first, five in the second, two in the third, three in the fourth. The Jaguars battled with three hits in the first, two in the second, one in the third, and three in the fourth.
The Indians and Jaguars both ending the game with 14 hits but, the Indians had three errors comparted to the Jaguars’ two.
Jaysa Wichers was pitching of the second game and she had two walks and two strikeouts and seven errors.
The Indians are 10-10 and their next action will be May 15 at Buhler where the the first place ranked Indians will take on the Crusaders in the first round.
