Swimmers clinch third place at Hays invitational

2017 – 18 Boys Swim team

The boys swim team takes third after earning 305 points at their home meet. Dodge City got second following behind Great Bend, the first-place winner. The Hays Invitational was hosted Jan. 15, at the Center for Health Improvement. The meet contained swimmers from Dodge City, Liberal and Great Bend, giving a good indication on where the Hays swimmers sit in WAC.

200 Medley Relay –  3rd Marshall Perryman, Brett Bowles, Isaac Smith, Scout Perryman (2:02.86) 32 points

200 Freestyle – 6th Carson Ackerman (2:28.44) 13 points, 7th Blade Goering (2:30.50) 12 points, 10th Marshall Perryman (2:46.23) 7 points

200 Individual Medley – 4th Brett Bowles (2:40.05) 15 points

50 Freestyle – 4th Scout Perryman (26.78) 15 points, 9th Zach Miller (29.07) 9 points, 10th Matt Goodale (30.80) 7 points

100 Butterfly – 1st Isaac Smith (57.87) 20 points, Scout Perryman (DQ)

100 Freestyle – 3rd Brett Bowles (1:00.94) 16 points 11th Dillion Gray (1:18.20) 6 points

500 Freestyle – 3rd Isaac Smith (5:55.90) 16 points, 6th Carson Ackerman (6:53.18) 13 points, 8th Blade Goering (7:15.62) 11 points

200 Freestyle Relay – 2nd Blade Goering, Brett Bowles, Scout Perryman, Smith Isaac (1:47.08) 34 points,               8th Dillion Gray, Andrew Prine, Skylar Zimmerman, Zach Miller (2:16.96) 22 points
