The girls and boys cross-country team placed last in WAC. The girls did have one medalist and all WAC honorable mention. Sophomore Yesenia Maldonado placed eighth. The boys top runner was freshman Dawson VonFeldt who placed 23rd.

Coach Harris said the boys team has had a great year and will improve much for next season. This year the freshman and sophomores were the team’s top runners.

“Cross country is something I do plan on doing for years to come and I’m excited for next season,” VonFeldt said.

According to Harris, the girls had a wonderful season as well, and they will be losing two of their best runners who will be graduating this year. Senior Madison Schmidt and Tana Herreman have ran their last year of high school cross country.

“When I was an underclassmen, I remember being really excited for the season coming to an end but now being an upperclassmen, I really regret that and am really sad that it is all ending,” Herreman said.
