Indian girls golf places sixth at state

Junior Brittani Park lines up on the green at regionals. The Indian girls golf team placed sixth at state on Oct. 16.

It was Dinkel’s last golf meet as an Indian, and she came prepared to make it one to remember. Following placing second at regionals, the Indians advanced to state where they won sixth as a team.
Teams present were Topeka-Hayden in first with a score of 346, Andale second with 352, Wichita-Trinity Academy 354, Winfield 382, Kansas City-Piper 396, Hays High 397, Spring Hill 401, Arkansas City 420, Buhler 438, Holton 440, Girard 445, and Chanute 455.
Individually, senior Karee Dinkel placed fourth with a score of 84, junior Emily McGuire tied for 34th with a score of 101, freshman Sophia Garrison tied for 41st with a score of 104, junior Molly Eikenberry tied for 53rd with a score of 108, junior Emily George tied for 53rd with a score of 108, and junior Brittani Park tied for 60th with a score of 111.
