Baseball falls to Garden City in double header
The Indian baseball team lost both games of their double header against the Garden City Buffaloes on April 18. Both games were close, with scores of 8-9 and 5-6.
During the first game, seniors Jace Armstrong and Tyrone Wynn and sophomore Treyton Riggs each scored two runs. The remaining two were scored by junior Trey VanPelt and sophomore Cody Petersen. Riggs also had three RBIs. The Buffaloes scored nine runs, making the final score of game one 8-9.
In the second game, seniors Jace Armstrong, Grant Coffman and Tyrone Wynn, junior Trey VanPelt and sophomore Treyton Riggs each scored one run. Junior Cole Murphy had two RBIs. The final score of the second game was 5-6.
The Indians’ next action will be against Great Bend on April 25.
