Boys tennis competes at home

The boys’ tennis team had their home meet on April 11. Teams there included Great Bend, Scott City, Trego, Liberal and Abilene.

Teams were put into pools A and B, where after playing two matches, they played a placement match.

The team came in fifth place overall out of the six teams, compiling a total of eight points.

Junior Lasse Boergers played number one singles and placed fifth after winning his placement match, with a mark of 1-2. Freshman Zachary Wyse played number two singles and won third place with a 2-1 mark.

The number one doubles team consisted of sophomore Logan Clark and freshman Cy Bender. They went 0-3 and was unable to secure a win.

Freshmen Eli Booth Seth Shorb played together for number two doubles and had a 1-2 mark. They came in second place.
