Lady Indians fall to Abilene Cowgirls, 58-39
The Lady Indians hosted the game against the Abilene Cowgirls on Feb. 16. Abilene won the game 58-39.
Hays managed to score nine points in the first quarter, trailing 9-18 by the end of the quarter. The Lady Indians stayed on the same track in the second quarter, only scoring seven points compared to Abilene’s 15. The half ended with Hays trailing by eight points and Abilene in the lead, 15-7.
Hays picked up speed and decreased their trail to two points in the opening of the second half, but did not score anymore in the third quarter. Abilene led by 19 points after three quarters, finishing out the third quarter with a 48-29 lead. The Lady Indians and The Cowgirls both scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, but Abilene took the victory with a 58-39 win.
