The boys basketball team defeated Liberal on Jan. 8; 55-54.
The Indians began the second half with an early lead of 35-29. They continued this momentum through the third courter, allowing them to go into the fourth courter at 45-35.
During the fourth quarter, Liberal started to catch up with the Indians, but the Indians held on to win the game with a final score of 55-54.
Leading the team in points was Drew Young with 15. Also in double digits were Isaiah Nunnery with 11 points and Shane Berens with 10. Rounding out the scoring was Keith Dryden with nine, Ethan Nunnery with four, and Laken Jacobs, Maddux Winter, and Xander Swayne with two points each.
