Volleyball improves on season 15-2 at home on Oct. 1

The Lady Indians improved on their season 15-2 after playing at home on Oct. 1.

The Lady Indians volleyball team recently hosted a quad in our own gym on Oct. 1. Invited teams were Salina South, Abilene, and Norton. Winning two of the three games, the ladies are now 15-2 on their season.

Hays vs. Salina South

25-17, 25-23

Senior Kylie Brown led with 10 kills while seniors Audra Schmeidler and Tessa Stickel each followed with six kills. Senior Nicole Dinkel had six digs. Seniors Taylor Groen Younger and Madison Prough had 14 and 13 assists, respectively.

Hays vs. Abilene

10-25, 21-25

Schmeidler had six kills while Prough had 11 assists. Dinkel had 14 digs.

Hays vs. Norton

25-14, 25-13

Brown had eight kills and Prough put up 10 assists. Senior Morgan Klaus had four service aces while Dinkel had seven digs.

The next action for the Lady Indians volleyball team is on Oct. 3 at the Great Bend invitational.
