Volleyball goes 3-0 at Dodge City Quad on Sept. 10

The girls volleyball team traveled to Dodge City on Sept. 10 to play in the Dodge City Quad. The Lady Indians went 3-0 against Sublette, Dodge City and Lakin.

In the first game, the Indians won against Sublette in straight games with 25-17 and 25-5 victories. Seniors Kylie Brown and Tessa Stickel each had 10 kills. Seniors Madison Prough and Taylor Groen-Younger had 11 assists each. Groen-Younger also had three service aces while senior Albany Schaffer had nine digs.

For the second game, the squad won again with 25-10 and 25-20 victories against Dodge City. Stickel led the way with six kills, seniors Audra Schmeidler and Morgan Klaus had four and three kills, respectively. Groen-Younger had nine assists and Prough followed with seven assists. Schaffer had 15 digs for this game.

Against Lakin in the final game, the girls won 25-12 and 25-16. Stickel had seven kills, followed by Schmeidler with six kills. Groen-Younger had 10 assists while Prough had eight assists. As for service aces, both Schaffer and Stickel put up five. Schaffer also had nine digs.

The Lady Indians are now 5-0 in their season. Their next action will be on Sept. 17 in Pratt.
