Boys basketball breeze past the Panthers, 56-30

The boys basketball team destroyed the Great Bend Panthers, 56-30, on Feb. 27. The Indians now have a 13-7 overall record on the year.

Ending the first quarter down 8-7, the Indians picked up the pace outscoring the Panthers 40-17 over the next two quarters. They entered the final period with a 47-25 advantage. The Indians scored nine points in the final period to the Panthers five, resulting in a sweeping win.

Cash Hobson had 15 points on the board, the leading scorer for this game. Isaiah Nunnery and Brady Werth were both in double digits with 14 and 13 points respectively. Keith Dryden added eight, Shane Berens added five and Bryce Ficken added one to result in the final score.

The boys will proceed on to sub-state, which takes place March 2 through March 7.
