Boys basketball falls to Mustangs, 49-46
The boys basketball team narrowly lost to the Salina Central Mustangs on Feb. 10. The game was close and the final score was 49-46. The Indians record is now 10-5.
Ending the first quarter up 11-8, the Indians lost their minuscule advantage and were outscored by the Mustangs over the next two quarters to enter the last period down by only two points. The score before the final quarter was 37-35.
Brady Werth had 24 points on the board, the leading scorer for this game. Isaiah Nunnery added six points. Keith Dryden and Drew Young each added five. Cash Hobson and Shane Berens added four and two respectively.
The boys will next face Liberal at home on Feb. 13.
