Boys basketball suffers fourth loss of the season

The boys basketball team fought hard, but lost to Salina South on Feb. 3. The game was close and the final score was 55-51. At the conclusion of this game, the Indians record is now 10-4.

Ending the first quarter down 24-8, the Indians miraculously managed to come back, outscoring the Cougars in the second and third quarters to enter the final period only down 42-36.

Isaiah Nunnery had 18 points on the board, the leading scorer for this game. Nunnery also managed 6 assists and 5 steals. Drew Young was close behind with 17 points, followed by Brady Werth with eight. Cash Hobson and Shane Berens rounded out the scoring with five and three points respectively.

The boys JV team will compete in the Buhler tournament beginning on Feb. 7. Varsity will play at home against Salina Central on Feb. 10.
