Boys basketball crushes Great Bend, 65-40
The boys basketball team took its seventh win of the season and defeated Great Bend 65-40 on Jan. 13. The Indians now have a 7-1 record on the year.
Already up 15-4 by the end of the first quarter, the Indians continued to outscore the Panthers in each quarter to take a commanding 52-31 advantage going into the final period.
Isaiah Nunnery had 23 points, six assists and one steal. Cash Hobson and Brady Werth were both in double digits with 14 and 12 points respectively. Werth was also the high rebounder for the game with a total of six rebounds.
Shane Berens added eight points and Keith Dryden added three. Xander Swayne and Drew Young each added two points, and Maddux Winter rounded out the score with one.
The next game is at home on Jan. 16 against Garden City.
