Boys cross country at state
The final cross country meet ended with the boys team taking ninth at state on Oct. 31. They competed in a pool of 15 teams and finished with 195 points.
Sophomore Zachary Hopp only missed medalling by 11 seconds, and took 25th with a time of 17:23. He was followed by freshman Allen Zollinger with a time of 17:56 in 47th. Senor Dylan Schmitt took 64th in 18:19, followed by freshman Hunter Olsen in 67th with a time of 18:27.
Sophomores Caden Cunningham and Alex Tinkel took 73rd and 99th respectively with times of 18:37 and 19:31. Rounding out the Indians individual scores was junior Chantz Taliaferro with 105th place in 20:12.
“All season long, our boys have run with a lot of heart,” Coach Jerold Harris said. “They ran extremely hard at regionals to qualify for state.”
