Junior Brooke Forinash played singles at state tennis in Vaughan Tennis Center in Winfield on Oct. 18.

Forinash lost both matches.

She lost her first match to Megan Muller of Topeka-Hayden 6-1, 6-0.

Her second match was agains Topeka Hayden’s number two singles player, Lauren Coleman, and she lost 9-4.

Getting to play at state was an honor in itself and showed Forinash’s great potential as a tennis player.

Team member Senior Emily McPherson was there to support and warm up with Forinash at state.
