On Thursday, Feb. 1, the Hays High School Scholars Bowl team competed at the regional competition at Salina Central.
At the competition, teams were separated into different pools and competed against each other from there. Teams that won their pools’ competitions moved on in the tournament. Hays did not make it out of its pool. Because of this, Hays’s season is at its end.
“I love Scholars Bowl because competing is fun, and I can use the useless trash I know for something useful,” senior Everett McClure said. “The only downside is sometimes missing and getting behind in school.”
