Spring Play, “Anne of Green Gables,” to Hold Auditions
Auditions for this year’s Spring Play, “Anne of Green Gables,” will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 7 and Thursday, Dec. 8 in the Lecture Hall right after school.
Also on Thursday will be a general meeting for everyone interested in the play after school. The director, Bill Gasper, will give any updates on the play and may ask some students to repeat their lines from Wednesday.
Currently, there are 32 students trying out, 16 girls and eight boys, and there are 19 available roles, 13 girls and six boys. Anyone who does not receive a role and would still like to be involved can choose to be an extra or join the crew. Students who would like to be a part of the crew will go to the Wednesday meeting to drop off their student information sheets and will then be free to leave.
There will be doubling for this play, due to many of the parts having shorter dialogue parts.
Callbacks on Friday are unlikely; however, Gasper said that he still wants all students to have their schedule free in case he needs to hear them again.
“I think it will be different because last year we had a lot smaller cast, I think 11 people,” sophomore Katelyn Willemsen said. “This year, around 30 people signed up, and the director said he could make extras so everybody could be casted.”
