Spanish II classes hold Quinceanera
The Spanish II classes at Hays High participated in a quinceanera celebration on Mon. Nov. 21 during G4 and Tuesday, Nov. 22 during M4.
In the past several years, the classes have not held the event due to COVID-19, but this year that changed.
The classes went to the library, where they performed a dance that they learned in class. For the dance, students could dress up in nice attire for extra credit points. After the performance, they ate foods that correlate to the Spanish culture.
After the quinceanera, the students will write a short paper about who is the most influential in their lives.
“I’m excited to dance and learn about the Spanish culture,” sophomore Karley Schlautman said.
