Student organizations lead Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat
On Tuesday, Oct. 11, the Hays High Student Council and DECA organizations collected nonperishable food items for the Community Assistance Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Hays neighborhoods.
Groups of students chose a section of the route and went door to door to collect the food items. After collecting the items, students volunteered to process and sort the food items at the Community Assistance Shelter.
“My favorite part of volunteering for DECA is being able to make a difference in the community,” junior Madighan Norris said. “It’s so much fun to help out with my friends.”
