On Friday, Sept. 23, the cast for Hays High School’s Fall Musical, “Seussical,” was announced. Auditions took place on Wednesday, Sept. 21, and callbacks occurred the next day, Thursday, Sept 22. The official Hays High “Seussical” cast is as follows:

Jojo – junior Atlas Seib

Cat in the Hat – senior Seth Tripp

Mrs. Mayor – sophomore Addy Brull

Gertrude McFuzz – senior Allie Straub

The ensemble for “Seussical” is split into two different groups: the Whos and the Jungle Creatures.

The members of the Whos include senior Caleb Johnson, juniors Sam Albin, Brooks Baczkowski, Gauge Horlick and Tim Koehn, sophomores Allie Conner, Sophie Miller and Elizabeth Noble and freshmen Leo Cain, Jordyn Flavin, Levi Harrison, Loren Tervort, Lizzy Vajnar and Olivia Werth.

The members of the Jungle Creatures include seniors Jesse Leiker, Quinton McGuire and Ansen Miner, juniors Cal Green, Ry Houchen, Brooke Leiker and Ellie McGuire, sophomores Jordan Aschenbrenner, Brian Delaney, Taylor Sterling, Clare Tholstrup and Bryton Unsworth and freshmen Breckan DeWald and Rose Windholz.

Rehearsals started Monday Sept. 26 with music instructor Alex Underwood and director and choreographer Adrian Rifat.
